How We Ship
We pack and ship orders with care, using USPS, UPS, or other reliable carriers depending on your location and package size. All packages are carefully prepared to protect your mushroom growing kits and products during transit.
Year - Round Shipping
We ship year - round. However, we are mindful of extreme temperatures that could damage living cultures during transit.
Temperature - Related Delays: The only time we will delay shipping for weather is in the event that temperatures drop below 0°F or exceed 90°F. In these conditions, we typically will delay shipment by a few days to avoid damage to your kit during transit.
If your order is affected by extreme temperature conditions, we'll notify you via email about the delay and when we expect to ship. We appreciate your patience as we prioritize the health and viability of your culture.
Shipping Timeline
Standard Processing: We ship orders within 5 business days of receiving your order. This allows us time to carefully pack your kit, verify contents, and get it into the mail system.
Business Days: We count business days as Monday - Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays and our occasional closure days.
Holidays & Busy Seasons: During high - volume periods (holidays, seasonal rushes, or major events), shipping may take slightly longer. We will do our best to keep delays minimal and will notify you if your order will take additional time.
Delivery Times
Once your order ships, delivery times depend on your location and carrier:

Important: Delivery time estimates are not guaranteed. Weather, carrier delays, and other factors beyond our control may affect delivery. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or external circumstances.
Expedited Shipping Requests
We cannot guarantee expedited shipments. However, we understand that sometimes deadlines matter - whether it's a holiday gift, a special event, or just urgent need.

What to Do When Your Order Arrives

If Everything Looks Good: Store your kit in a cool place until you're ready to begin growing. Follow the included instructions for the best results.

Damaged or Missing Items
If your order arrives damaged, with missing items, or in poor condition, please contact us right away:

What We'll Do:
We'll review your situation and work to make it right. Depending on the issue, we may:

The sooner you report damage, the easier it is for us to help and file claims with carriers if needed.
Lost Packages
If your package doesn't arrive within the expected timeframe:
First: Wait a few days - tracking can lag, and packages sometimes arrive later than initially estimated.
Then: Check your tracking number for updates. If it shows as delivered but you haven't received it, check with neighbors, building management, or other household members.

International Shipping
At this time, we ship only within the United States. We do not offer international shipping. If you have questions about shipping to a specific location, please contact us at themushroomconservatory@gmail.com.
Shipping Address
Please ensure your shipping address is correct and complete when you place your order. We cannot be responsible for packages shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
If you need to change your address after placing an order, contact us immediately at themushroomconservatory@gmail.com before we pack and ship.
Return Shipping
If you need to return an item (for damage, defect, or troubleshooting replacement), please see our Returns & Replacements Policy for details. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the damage was our fault.
